Dreaming started in 2017, when Pablo launched the Dreaming Spanish YouTube channel. After years of struggling to learn English through traditional classes without reaching fluency, he discovered the power of comprehensible input — learning through real content that you can actually understand. Using this method, he went on to become fluent in French, Japanese, and Thai, and decided to share the same approach with others.

A few years later, Laurence, a technologist working in the startup world, came across the channel while learning Spanish. He quickly saw how powerful the method was — not only for himself, but for anyone frustrated by traditional language classes. With his background in technology, he recognized how the idea could be grown into something much bigger: a platform that could combine engaging content, cultural insights, and modern tools to help learners all across the world. In 2021, he and Pablo teamed up to build Dreaming into a platform that could change how the world learns languages.

Today, Dreaming is powered by a global team of creatives producing thousands of videos across all levels of difficulty. With Spanish and French available now — and more languages to come — we’re showing that language learning doesn’t have to be a struggle.
